This year our convention will be held in beautiful Lake Elmo, MN just to the east of Saint Paul, MN.

There will be cultural activities and tours, the Folk Art competition, and opportunities for Sons of Norway convention delegates to mix and mingle and help chart the future for our lodges.

Convention Registration

Delegate Registration

If you are a designated delegate from your Sons of Norway lodge, you must register as a convention delegate below.

Delegate Registration includes the following:

  • Delegate packet
  • Monday 8/19: President's reception and dinner
  • Tuesday 8/20: Breakfast, lunch, breaks, cultural activities and classes plus the evening Banquet and entertainment.
  • Wednesday 8/21: Breakfast, lunch, breaks.

Some classes may have supply fees.

Non-Delegate Registration

If you are not a Sons of Norway Convention delegate and wish to attend, please register below.

Non-Delegate Registration provides the option to purchase one, two or three day admission to the convention from Monday 8/19 till Wednesday 8/21:

  • Monday: Lunch, Snacks and Classes.
  • Tuesday: Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Classes.
  • Wednesday: Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks.

Admission to the President's reception and dinner and the Tuesday Banquet with Entertainment may be purchased separately.

Some classes may have supply fees.

The All Things Norwegian Tour

Tuesday August 20th: 8:30am - 2:30pm

Tour visits the following sites:

  • Minnesota State Capitol
  • Old Muskego Church
  • The Guthrie Theater
  • Mindekirken Norwegian Lutheran Church
  • Norway House

Box lunch is included.

Cost: $40 per Person

Convention Accommodations

The convention is being held at the Lake Elmo, MN Holiday Inn and Suites.


You can register with the hotel below or by calling 1-651-714-8068.


Be sure to ask for the "Sons of Norway District 1 Convention" rate to receive our negotiated room rate. The convention rate is being honored from two days before till two days after the convention.


Rooms must be booked by June 30th to receive the discounted room rate.
